The creation of this region supports the Arab business environment and the Arab intra-arar trade movement, thus expanding the possibilities for integration between Arab markets. It is therefore a step forward towards Arab economic cooperation and investment of trade opportunities available in the markets of Arab countries. The region should also insist on restoring the investment environment in order to attract investment and joint ventures and improve the competitiveness of Arab products by eliminating tariffs, eliminating many procedures and fees of similar effects and minimizing non-tariff barriers, Arab intermediaries. The region was named the Greater Arab Free Trade Area (GAFTA) to distinguish it from country-based free trade areas. .
